About Us
Figueroa Philly is known to serve the best cheesesteak in Los Angeles. For over a decade, Figueroa Philly has become home for generations of students and faculty at USC, it has become a fan favorite for crowds attending a game at the Coliseum, and it has become a destination for hungry tourists visiting Expo Park and the Natural History Museum. Nestled at the heart of the Figueroa Corridor in South Central LA, Figueroa Philly has become one of the most beloved Cheesesteak Brands in all of Los Angeles.
Our Founder & Our Mission
A visionary and creator – Danny Hizami grew up in the restaurant business. With over 40 years of experience in the industry, Danny and his family franchised Kentucky Fried Chicken (KFC) restaurants in markets across LA. When Danny decided to turn one of his KFC restaurants into a fast casual shop, it became Danny’s mission to build out Figueroa Philly. What Colonel Sanders was to KFC, Danny Hizami became synonymous to Figueroa Philly. The vision of bringing the best cheesesteak to Los Angeles stayed true to its soul -- and we continue that mission in a new location – still serving USC and the Figueroa Corridor of South LA.
